Psychotherapy

In working with you as a client, I draw on an eclectic approach utilizing a combination of Jungian, Transpersonal, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic frameworks. Elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are also included, where required. I enjoy working with individuals and couples, as well as with families. Incorporating Western psychology and Eastern philosophy, I offer a holistic approach in working with you, while also addressing the intricate and important relationship between body, mind, and spirit.

The main premise of my practice is to create and provide a harmonious space for you, to facilitate and support growth and vitality on your therapeutic journey, to help you recognize and change negative core beliefs about yourself, and to actively participate in your exploration of strengthening and deepening your relationship with yourself and with others.

With extensive training in Geropsychology and professional experience with individuals with dementia, I also work with individuals in their final stage of life.

My area of expertise is in working with individuals with psychosis, specifically schizophrenia. In pursuing my doctoral dissertation, I focused on the positive implications of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia. I provide a non-pathological approach to working with clients with this diagnosis.

Working with ethnic minorities is also an area of focus in my practice. Having been an ethnic minority myself, I have a deep understanding and appreciation of ethnic populations and the challenges they endure.
